India

2023

Highlights:

Summary

What a brilliant a diverse nation, no two areas here are the same so it's impossible to speak about any culture or rule for the entire nation as it varies completely.

If you want nature, peace and safety head south to Kerala. If you're after urban sprawl and endless activities, hit up Delhi in the north. Do you like mountains? head east to Darjeerling.

No two india experiences are the same and it's almost endless with places to go and things to see.

Official Travel Advice

Exercise a high degree of caution

Challenges

Safety is a concern depending on where you are. For example, in the denser poorer north i would recommend traveling alone as a woman. However in the south you'll find the population is dominantly women and so services and culture revolve more around keeping you safe.

You are guaranteed to get food poisoned at some point, simply allow flexibility in your schedule and pack plenty of medicine.

Do

Take the night trains, they're surprisingly comfy and are a great way to cover long distances without needing to check into a hotel.
